Having a permanent SGA representative
Anthony will be the permanent SGA rep if he gets a free coke every meeting. According to Anthony, "Remember: it's a position with very little power with people who think SGA is actually important"
However, we would like someone who cuts their hair and doesn't wear combat boots to represent us; someone the people can respect.
Meetings are at 5:30PM, Tuesdays in Brush Mountain A, Squires. Maybe we could just rotate?

A Creative Commons license consists of various restrictions, hand-picked by the creator of the work.
Attribution
Anyone who redistributes the work must provide the license information and the creator information.
NonCommercial
You cannot use the work for commercial purposes.
NoDerivs
You cannot make derivative works.
ShareAlike
You must use the same license.

The vtluug installfest will be September 16th, from 12 PM till 6 PM, in Squires Room 345.

Contacting the Collegiate Times about using Creative Commons
The CT is owned by the Eductional Media Company at Virginia Tech. Since it's already free (as in beer), they might as well allow the authors of submissions to retain the rights to their work under Creative Commons.

- It's not just free as in beer, but also free as in speech.

Give the artists letters asking them to free their art. No, they probably won't listen, but let's do it anyway.
Of course, all these ideas can be shot down at the meeting. These are just suggested activism ideas.

Boycott on Regal
Free Culture joined a boycott on Regal.
Now that she pleaded guilty and it is unlikely that Regal will apologize to Sejas, this could be a very indefinite boycott.
No pressure on everyone to participate, but I still plan on not going to Regal for as long as I can ~Conley.
