MPAA forced to remove "University Toolkit" after claims it violated the GNU GPL
MPAA release a 'University Toolkit" based off Xubuntu to assist universities in the fight against piracy. The MPAA failed to provide the source or a written offer for the source... After a few failed attempts to contact the MPAA regarding the issue, Matthew Garrett (Ubuntu developer) sent a takedown notice to the hosting-ISP. The ISP removed the violating material.
